Clash of titans, Karaev, gold medal

Hiroaki Tanaka of Japan, right, battles Russia’s Alan Karaev during the final of the men’s heavyweight sumo wrestling competition at the Combat Games in Beijing on Sunday. Karaev won the gold medal, with Tanaka taking the silver. The Combat Games are being held through Sept 4, with about 1,600 athletes from 60 countries competing in 13 sports.

    I saw this activity featured in National Geographic once.
    And I think it showcases how wonderful and rich Japan’s heritage is.
    I haven’t been to Japan but would surely want to visit the place someday.
